Bands as disparate and varied as Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Kings of Leon, Phish, Slayer, Anthrax, Mos Def and many, many more will be anchoring the Forever Festival—the “Earth’s first live digital music festival,” which, as Rolling Stone reports, will run from August 4th to August 11th for seven days and nights, and take place all over the planet while being broadcast live from the Forever Festival website. Which, for people sick of the overcrowding of music festivals, doesn’t sound like too bad an idea.
The first salvo off band names has been released (check ‘em out below), with more to come. The Forever Festival is being organized by IROCKE, and will feature live sets in New York, Portland, Budapest, Ibiza and many more locations.
