There are some days in which news breaks that is so inexplicable, so fundamentally at odds with the reality of the universe that we’ve come to accept, that we can barely comprehend the information that our brains are attempting to process. News so shocking, so unprepared-for by our fragile psyches, that it forces us to question the basic precepts and foundation of reality itself. This weekend, humanity was united in the face of such madness-tempting news: the fact that Chris Brown, of all people, was arrested after allegedly violently assaulting a person. Can… can you believe such a thing is possible.
Reportedly, Brown became involved in an argument with a man in front of the K Street W Hotel in Washington D.C. According to the alleged victim, he was simply trying to photobomb two woman getting their photo with Brown, at which point Brown declared “I’m not down with that gay sh**, I feel like boxing,” and proceeded to break the alleged victim’s nose, after which Brown and his bodyguard were arrested.
However, people connected to Brown’s camp state that the alleged victim was actually injured trying to trespass onto Brown’s tour bus, and Brown was simply trying to stop him. Which, hey, sounds totally reasonable, especially given the fact that Brown has no prior history of violent physical outbursts when the thin bubble of delusionally-entitled worldview is punctured.
