At 64, Bruce Springsteen is tickling retirement age; despite that fact, the man appears to get more done in a month than most of us do in 10. After releasing the album Wrecking Ball in March of 2012, Springsteen and his E-Street Band embarked upon a world tour from March 2012 to September 2013, playing a whopping 133 shows, many of which were three hours or more. And now he’s already primed with another album for 2014—High Hopes.
The new album is set for a January 14, 2014 release date, and looks intriguing—the album is a mix of covers, studio versions of older Springsteen songs (like “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and “American Skin”), and tunes “inspired” by the live guitar playing of Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, who joined the E-Street Band for a leg of the Wrecking Ball tour and plays on the album.
So, does this mean a new tour in 2014? Here’s hoping (pun not intended, we swear). Check out the record details below, via Rolling Stone.
