17-year-old New Zealand breakout pop star Lorde has announced the launch of her first headlining club tour in North America, supporting her popular debut, Pure Heroine. The 16-date trek will launch in March in Austin, Texas, take her to a two-night stint as the Roseland Ballroom in New York, and then end on the west coast in Oakland, California.

And if you were wondering why the tour features no Los Angeles date and ends abruptly in Oakland at the end of March, rumor has it that Lorde will be performing at the 2014 Coachella music festival (the fest has strict rules about its performers not performing in the Los Angeles area for several weeks before the fest’s dates in late April).
